Honor Mission
Hans Erik Ressdorf, Veteran

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Patriot Guard Riders have been honored with a request from the family of SSG Ressadorf (Ret) for a flag line, a final salute and an escort to his final resting place at the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery, Springfield, MO., where we will stand a flag line while full military honors are rendered. Hero Ressdorf joined the USAF after graduating from Kickapoo HS in Springfield and proudly served 3 years before taking a break from the service where he worked as a truck driver. After 9/11, hero Ressdorf re-enlisted in the US Army where he served as a military policeman for 5 years, including 2 tours in Iraq, achieving the rank of SSG before being medically retired in 2012 after receiving a Purple Heart for injuries sustained during the WoT. Hero Ressdorf received numerous medals and awards before his retirement. Hero Ressdorf enjoyed hunting deer, riding motorcycles, fast cars and college football.

NOTE: After completion of this mission we have the retirement reception for one of our local PGR members, Shawn Dery, who is retiring from the US Navy. Shawn’s actual retirement ceremony is at the US Army Reserve Center, 1100 N. Fremont at 1:00p, with a reception in Rogersville after the ceremony. We will ride as a group from this mission to Rogersville to honor our retiring brother and partake in food and fun. Further details provided at the briefing.
