ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of COL Howerton (73) has graciously requested the Patriot Guard Riders’ presence as they show their final respects and lay their loved one to rest. COL Howerton faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army and performed duties as a Personnel Programs Management Officer. Upon completion of his service, COL Howerton received an Honorable Discharge. During his time in service, he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal(2), Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal w/1 OLC, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Gallantry Cross w/Palm, Combat Infantry Badge, Army Service Ribbon, Expert Badge (M-16), Marksmanship Badge, and the Meritorious Service Medal w/OLC.
Please bring your 3 X 5 American Flags and stand in honor and respect for this Hero and his family.
