Gregory served in the US Navy from 10 July 1962 to 15 July 1966 on the USS Falgout (DER-324). He was Honorably Discharged at the rate of Seaman Apprentice (E2) and a Striker for Boatswains Mate. Gregory earned the Republic of Vietnam Service Medal\, the Vietnam Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
