ABOUT THE MISSION:

The North Myrtle Beach Police Department lost one of their own, Sergeant Gordon Best in the early morning of January 1st.  He was in a fatal accident while on duty. We have been asked to stand for this fallen Officer and it will be our honor to do so.  Sergeant Best was born November 12, 1990 in Myrtle Beach, SC. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, was a member of the FFA and a member of the Grand Strand Masonic Lodge#392 AMF.  He had served with the North Myrtle Beach Police Department for seven years.

After the briefing we will establish a Flag Line and stand by for the arrival of the family. The family is due to arrive at 2:45 pm for Family visitation from 3-4 pm. Visitation will open to the public from 4-7 pm. The plan will be to rotate PGR members every 30 minutes due to the length of the mission.  All COVID guidelines will be observed, please remember to bring your face covering.

The service is scheduled to start at 2 pm. Once the service starts we will stand down until the service ends.
