ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of Gordon R. Breeding has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to stand in honor of his service to our country. Mr. Breeding was born 5 Jun 1923, and died 19 Jun 19. He was in the 8th Air Force, 34th Bombardment Group, 18th Bombardment Squadron in the European Theatre of Operations from 22 Apr 1944 to 14 Jan 1945. His Missions took him to Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, and the general Air Offensive in Europe. He flew in the Consolidated B-24 Dugan Wagon plane, 17 missions as Front Gunner, with 12 of those Missions in the Lead Plane. He then flew in the Boeing B-17: 10 Missions as the Waist Gunner. After the Military, Mr. Breeding worked at and retired as the Quality Control Manager of an automobile tubing facility in Luzerne Michigan. He is survived by his wife, daughter and extended family.
