US Marine Corps – Vietnam
Patriot Guard Rider
Racine / Union Grove, WI
Friday August 26, 2016
Our long time Patriot Guard Rider Brother Glenn Nevins died peacefully on August 18th 2016. Glenn was born in May 1947 in Muskegon Heights, Michigan. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1967 and served his country in Vietnam, attaining the rank of Corporal, before a life-threatening injury brought him home.
Glenn loved to ride and he thought that his love of country and motorcycles made the Patriot Guard Riders a perfect fit for him and joined in 2007. For those of you who had the pleasure to know him, he was a true Patriot Guard Rider, no flash, no ego. He was the kind of guy that you would see across the line and you’d just smile and nod and he’d smile back.
He didn’t stand out but he always stood tall.
The last time I talked with Glenn he was requesting that we stand for a family member, now they ask that we stand for him.
