ABOUT THE MISSION:
Gilbert McKenna was a United States Army veteran. He proudly served his country in the US Army from 1952 to 1953 during the Korean War. He served with a Heavy Mortar Battalion attached to the 35th Infantry Division in Korea and attained the rank of Sergeant. He was released from active duty and honorably discharged in December 1953.While in the service of his country Gilbert earned the National Defense Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Korean Service Medal w/2 Bronze Stars, United Nations Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
