ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of Gerald Wayne Whitehead, US Army, Vietnam Veteran, has asked the Patriot Guard to stand in honor of their fallen Hero. SFC Gerald Wayne Whitehead had 26 years service in US Army. SFC Whitehead was a Track Vehicle Mechanic/Automotive Repairman. SFC Whitehead’s last duty station was at D Co. 701st Maint. Bn. at Fort Riley, Kansas. SFC Whitehead received the following medals and ribbons: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal W/2 Bronze Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal (4th award), Vietnam Cross of Gallantry W/Palm, Army Commendation Medal.
