ABOUT THE MISSION:
Gerald Kendall served his country proudly and honorably for 21 years from 1948 to 1969. Gerald was born in 1928 in Homestead, PA. Gerald and his parents left for England on Sept 2, 1939 so his father could support the war efforts from his homeland. Gerald spent his teenage years in Barrow-in-Furness later serving four years in the British Army. In 1948, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps in Paris, France serving first at Rhein-Main Air Base during the Berlin Airlift. Gerald then came stateside to Tyndall AFB at Panama City, FL. Gerald served his country in the USAF for 21 years retiring in 1969 at Eglin AFB, FL as a Senior Master Sergeant. He served the city of Valparaiso, FL first as a city commissioner later retiring after serving years as the city clerk.
