DESCRIPTION:Honor Mission\nGeorge Owen Henderson\, Veteran\nUSN – Korea\nFlorissant\, Missouri – 05-12-21\n\n\n\nABOUT THE MISSION: \nIt is a most distinct honor and a definite privilege for the Patriot Guard Riders\, at the family’s request\, to stand a flag line for United States Navy Veteran\, George OwenHenderson\, 91\, and escort him to his final resting place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with full military honors. Veteran Henderson served in the US Navy from October 1950 until August 1954\, including 2 years aboard the USS Esperance\, a Casablanca-Class Escort Carrier (CVE-88) in the Korean War\, serving in the Inchon Landing and other Western Pacific Theater action.. He attained the rating of AD3 Aviation Machinist’s mate\, the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class and was awarded several commendations including the National Defense Service Medal\, Navy Occupation\, Korean Service\, China Service\, Good Conduct and National Defense. Petty Officer Henderson\, a grateful nation thanks you and is indebted to you for your honorable service. Your sacrifices have granted us the freedoms we continue to enjoy to this very day.
