Honor Mission
George Osmond , Veteran
USN – , WWII, Korea, Vietnam
Grand Island, Nebraska – 09-05-18
Grand Island, Nebraska – 09-05-18
ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of George Osmond, 89, have requested the Patriot Guard Riders participate in his funeral service . The Patriot Guard Riders will stand a flag line prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Our Hero, George Osmond, enlisted in the Navy at the end of WWII, completed a tour in Korea, and served in Vietnam. George spent over 20 years in the Navy as a marine diesel mechanic, a profession he pursued after his honorable discharge. George’s time in the Navy taught him the value of structure and hard work, traits that he passed on to his children and grandchildren. As a dad, George could be “military strict” but loving and nurturing, leading his children to learn respect and the importance of education.
