George Mackie Comment

  1. AAR – 14 Aug 2019 – SGT George Mackie WWll Veteran Broken Arrow, OK

20 Patriot Guard Riders met at the staging site for the accompaniment of SGT George Mackie and his family to Ft. Gibson National Cemetery. A briefing was held covering the details of the mission. After completion of the briefing several family members shared SGT Mackie’s military career with us. At the appointed departure time the PGR and family departed for the service at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery. On arrival we were met by three additional PGR, the USAF Honor Guard and the Haskel American Legion. The families Minister started the service and when complete turned it over to the Honor Guard. A three round volley was fired by the Legion, taps were played by the USAF Honor Guard and the flag was folded and presented to SGT Mackies spouse. The PGR the read and presented the PGR plaque and invocation letter. A final salute was given to then given to the hero.

I would like to thank all the PGR that were able to attend this service and a special thank you to SGT George Mackie for your honorable and faithful service to this great nation.
