ABOUT THE MISSION:
The State of Arkansas and our country has lost a true American Patriot. We have been asked to stand in honor of George Lewis Brandon, 78, born July 16, 1941 in Kingsland, AR. He was a 1959 graduate of Kingsland High School. He was a member of New Edinburg First Baptist Church and a Master Mason in Lodge #430 of Kingsland, a Past Master, and belonged to Huey Lodge #78 New Edinburg. He was in the US Army for 22 1/2 years, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. He served in Germany, Korea, Vietnam and Stateside. Medals awarded were; Army Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, (w/silver 1 loop) National Defense Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon (numeral 1) Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal (w/60 Device), Vietnam Service Medal (w/1 Silver Service Star & 1 Bronze Service Star), Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry (w/ Palm). He has been a minister since February of 1991. He loved fishing, hunting, and almost all sports, westerns, gardening, and most of all God and his family. He was a Goldstar Father. George was preceded in death by his parents and two sons. It will be an honor to stand for this Hero. Well done Patriot!
