Ladies and Gentlemen of the Patriot Guard Riders the family of George “Glen” Humphreys has requested a PGR Flag Line for the Memorial celebrating the life of this Navy Veteran. Mr. Humphrey served during the later stages of the Vietnam War aboard the USS King. The King was a Farragut-class guided missile destroyer. During the Vietnam era she carried a helicopter and a search and rescue crew. The Ship’s crew received many commendations for their efforts. Glen’s body was laid to rest on the coast where he grew up in a small private ceremony. This Memorial in Goldendale will give local residents and his extended family an opportunity to pay their respects. Thank you Glen for your service to our Nation.
