An even smaller percentage of those served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam and fewer have reached the age of One-Hundred years. Mr. Alexander served in WWII and was discharged after his enlistment. He was later recalled to serve in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired in 1967 as a Master Gunnery Sergeant.

KSU: 2:00 PM, a vehicle parade will drive by the residence of Mr. George Alexander, in honor of his 100th birthday. The ride from assembly area to Mr. Alexander’s residence is approx. one-half mile. The ride will be slow moving. To maintain the safety of this veteran, there will be NO CONTACT with him. Honking, saluting, and waving from your vehicle is acceptable. On Mr. Alexander’s birthday in 2020, The Old Glory Quilters of Rock Hill, SC had the honor of awarding him a Quilt of Valor. He will be displaying his Quilt of Valor when the parade passes by. There is an 80% chance of rain on Sunday with a high of 52 degrees. You may consider driving your automobile in lieu of your bike. We will observe all COVID-19 and CDC guidelines.
