Gary Ray VanFossen, 84, of Sidney, Ohio, passed away on 21 December 2020. After high school, Gary joined the USN in 1954, then served in the U.S. Navy for two years, aboard the USS Prairie and USS John A. Boyle. Gary achieved the rank of Seaman (SN) and served honorably, receiving the National Defense Service Medal during the Cold War.
