ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of Sgt Monroe, 38, has requested the Patriot Guard Riders presence as they show their final respects and lay their loved one to rest. Gary faithfully served his country in the US Army and performed duties as a Cannon Crew Member. Upon completion of his service, Gary received an Honorable Discharge and during his time in service, awarded the Global War on Terrorism Service Military Ribbon, Iraq Campaign Military Ribbon w/Star (4), Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Meritorious Unit Citation Military Ribbon (2), Good Conduct Medal (2), National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Award (3), and the Combat Action Badge. Please bring your 3 X 5 American flags and stand in honor and respect for our hero and his family. Face masks are required at the Shelter.
