ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of Gary W. Melvin has requested the Patriot Guard to stand a flag line during his visitation, in advance of his procession to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.  SP4 Melvin served our country in the United States Army, during the Vietnam war.  Gary was a member of VFW Post 2866 in St Charles, MO.  We are honored to stand for him as he once stood for us.

Special Instructions:

Ride meeting to follow staging.  Flag line for visitation until procession time at 12:30pm.  We will escort family and friends to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 1:30pm ETA.  Flags and support at Baue provided by Harold “Chief Boo” Vanderboegh.  Flags at JB… TBD.  Weather is expected to be very hot with a high of 98 degrees.  It will be very important to stay hydrated during this mission.  Cages are always welcome!
