Honor Mission
Galen Frances Morris, Veteran
USA, USAR – Vietnam
Lexington, Nebraska – 02-24-21

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of Vietnam Veteran Galen Frances Morris, 73, United States Army, has requested the Patriot Guard Riders provide a Flag Line at his funeral service on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., an escort to the cemetery (weather permitting) and a Flag Line during the graveside service. Our Hero Galen Morris was inducted into the U.S. Army in 1966, serving his Country for two years active duty, and as a reservist for four years. He declined Officer Candidate training, but did become an instructor. He was honorably discharged, receiving the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Bronze stars, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. Galen was honored to be chosen for the first Dawson County Hero Flight to Washington, DC in 2016. He was also given a Quilt of Valor that same year at this 50th class reunion.
