ABOUT THE MISSION:

In 1956 he joined the United States Air Force and after completing under-graduate cadet training at Harlingen, TX, he was assigned to Charleston AFB in South Carolina and flew over 4 years on the C-121 Constellation with the Military Air Transport Service (MATS). He was then accepted to the pilot’s training class of 63-F at Craig AFB in Selma, AL. He graduated second in his class and chose an assignment to fly navigation training flights at Connolly AFB in Waco, TX. More at riders meeting.
