ABOUT THE MISSION:

Fred was raised by his grandmother after his father was deployed to fight in WWII. Fred attended Fair Park High School in Shreveport before joining the Army. He served in Korea where his job was to recover our fallen soldiers. A book, Soldier Dead, was inspired and written by local author Mike Sledge about Fred’s job in the service. He received the United Nations Service Medal – National Defense Service Medal – Korean Service Medal – Expert Badge – Sharpshooter Badge with Rifle Bar.

We will escort this Veteran to Assembly of God Cemetery in Doyline about 10 miles.
Then we will stand a Flag Line for a Grave Side Service about 30 minutes.

If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water will be provided.
