ABOUT THE MISSION:
The Patriot Guard Riders will proudly escort and stand in honor of MSgt Cook, as he is laid to rest in Barrancas National Cemetery. MSgt Cook was born 17 Dec 1943 and passed from this earth on 30 May 2021, and was 77 years old at the time of his passing. MSgt Cook served his country from Nov 1961 thru July 1982 as an Air Force Flight Engineer for 2.9 years, a Helicopter Tech for 14.4 years, and a Fire Protection Specialist for 3.6 years. During his time in the service, he received the Distinguished Flying Cross W/2 OLCS, Air Medal W/10 OLCS, AF Commendation Medal W/1 OLC, Good Conduct Medal W/5 OLCS, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal W/4 Bronze Stars, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award W/2 OLCS & V Device, and many other awards.

NAS Pensacola requires that long sleeve shirts, long trousers, long fingered gloves, DOT Approved helmets, leather footwear covering the ankles and appropriate eye protection be worn while riding aboard the base.
