ABOUT THE MISSION:
SP4 Accardo proudly and honorably served in the Army 2 years, including 6 months in Vietnam with 1st Infantry, 50th Bn, 1st Calvary Div. as a Light Weapons Infantryman. His last duty assignment was Co A, SP Trps, 4th U.S. Army. He a 100% disabled veteran , wounded in a jungle trail booby trap explosion in 1967.His medals include Purple Heart, Combat Infantryman Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Sharpshooter M14 Rifle, Expert M16 AR, Expert .45 pistol.
