ABOUT THE MISSION:
Ladies and Gentlemen of the Patriot Guard Riders,
We have been invited to attend the final Military Honors of SSG Frank McNeil, U.S. Army, retired. SSG McNeil joined the Army 5 Nov, 1957 and served for 6 years, including 3 and a half years in Europe. SSG McNeil retired from the regular army and moved over to the U.S. Army Reserves where he served honorably for another 15 years. In that time he spent two tours in Vietnam, earning the following awards and medals: Marksman (Rifle & Carbine), National Defense Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, 2 Over Seas Bars, Good Conduct Medal (4th Award), Vietnam Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.
Frank actually passed away on his 89th birthday. He is survived by his 5 children, a brother and sister, and numerous grandchildren.
In his civilian life Frank worked at Atlas Foundry and Machine, retiring after 25 years. Frank enjoyed working in his garden and spending his time with his large family.
