ABOUT THE MISSION:
Ladies and Gentlemen, the Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to ride and stand in honor of, US Navy Musician 2nd Class Francis E. “Ham” Dick, who was killed December 7, 1941 during the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor while serving on the USS Oklahoma. MUS2C Dick enlisted into the US Navy on 23 July 1940 and was 20 years of age at the time of his death. MUS2C Dick was born February 5, 1921 in Maywood, Frontier County, NE. His family moved to Woodland during the Great Depression. He was a graduate of Woodland High School where his greatest passion was music. MUS2C Dick is survived by his youngest sister and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
