ABOUT THE MISSION:

Friends of Francis Darrell Pope, US Army, Vietnam Veteran, retired, have asked the Patriot Guard to stand in honor of their fallen Hero. 1SGT Pope has no known living family. 1SGT Francis Darrell Pope started his military February 11, 1974 and completed his career July 15, 1995. 1SGT Pope was a Sr. Sup Sgt. His last duty station was SP BTRY 1st AIT, Fort Sill , Ok. ( TRADOC). 1SGT Pope received the following medals and ribbons: National Defense Service Medal (2 awards), PRCHT Badge, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 dev, Vietnam Service Medal, PUC, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry w/palm, Bronze Star, Silver Star, 2 O/S Bars, 6 SVC Stripes, Good Conduct Medal (4th award), AFEM ( Korea), Expert Rifle Badge M-14 & M16. Service will be graveside at Fort Sill on Post at 2:30 pm. 1SGT Pope’s friends from the Lawton VFW, where he was very active, are asking any and all who are able to come, be there as his extended family.

KSU at 1:30 pm. for Fort Sill.
Must wear proper clothing to ride on post.

If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.
