ABOUT THE MISSION:
Forest “Butch” Lee Kreklow, 89, of New London, Wisconsin passed on and joined his wife on the 23rd of December 2020. He was born on May 24, 1931, in Oshkosh, WI to Henry and Elvira Kreklow. On August 18, 1951, he was united in marriage to Arla Mae Splitt at Saint Paul Lutheran Church, South Dupont. The couple began their journey through life on the Kreklow family farm in Bear Creek, Wisconsin. Just after marriage, Butch was drafted into the United States Marine Corps in support of the Korean Conflict. Fortunately for him, he was assigned to Marine Corps Depot of Supplies in San Francisco, California where Arla was able to join him. His patriotism infected his daughter Kathi who is retired after 25 years in the U.S. Army.
