DESCRIPTION:The family and friends of Floyd Huntley\, Jr.\, 87\, USN\, WWII Veteran have invited the Patriot Guard to honor their loved one on his final journey.  We are honored to accept.  \n\nMr. Huntley entered the United States Navy on a fib.  He entered the Navy when he was only 16 years old\, telling the Navy that he was 18.  He served for three years before the truth caught up with him.  The Navy learning of his true age\, gave him an Honorable discharge.  He served from Jun 7th 1945\, until Jun 4th\, 1948.  He was awarded the World War II Victory Medal. \nHis family states\, ”  He was a driver – criss-crossed this great nation more times than we would want to count. \nHe had the greenest thumb I ever saw – that man WAS the Plant Whisperer . . . \nHis survivors include\, 2 Marines\, 1 sheriff deputy\, one sailor\, 2 courtroom assistants\, and more bikers than we want to count. “ \nNOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested\, and all are welcome\, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the funeral home to his Riverside National Cemetery.
