There has been an ongoing effort in the United States to identify the remains of forgotten American Veterans. All too often these Veteran’s cremains have been sitting for many years on the shelves of funeral homes throughout our country. These are Veterans who served and died for our nation during our time of need and whose remains have been unclaimed. Their silent voices cry out for help. Five of these American Heros in New Jersey have been identified and will be interred. The Patriot Guard Riders have again been asked to lead in the planning of this mission.

The mission will consist of a combined ceremony to be held at the Volk-Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Rd, Teaneck, NJ. The ceremony is scheluled for 1000 hrs on Friday, August 14th to be followed by a full escort to the Brigadier General William C Doyle Cemetery. We will be joined on this ride by other riding groups in New Jersey including Rolling Thunder , American Legion Riders , Vietnam Vets MC, HOG Chapters, and also by some other Veterans Organizations. Ride itinerary and staging information is listed below. All riders and participants are requested to meet at one of the two staging areas designated below. Please continue to monitor this thread in case there are any changes to the basic itinerary.

The Cemetery has a regulation that limits cremain burials to 3 per day. We will however be escorting all 5 remains on Friday. Three of these Heros will be interred on Friday the 14th and two will be interred at separate services on Monday the 17th. Since there will be no escort for Monday, we are asking that anyone who can make the Monday services to please attend to stand a flag line. Info for times on Monday will follow.

*****ALL RIDERS ATTENDING MUST MEET AT ONE OF THE TWO DESIGNATED STAGING AREAS SO THAT WHEN WE PULL INTO EACH POINT, WE ARE LINED UP AND WILL PULL OUT IN THE SAME ORDER. PARKING AT THE TEANECK FUNERAL HOME IS IN A VERY CONGESTED AREA WITH LIMITED PARKING CAPABILITY SO IT WILL BE TIGHT AND MUST BE ORDERLY.

Thank you all in advance for your willingness to honor and pay our tribute to these great American Heros. See you all out there.
