Subject: Final Itenerary for Houts Mission
This is the final Itenerary for the Houts Mission:
We will stage at Winn Dixie parking lot at Eastdale at 0900 hours, KSU at 0945 to the short drive to Frazier Church. We will then line up in the funeral prossecion, at the completion of this service we will then leave under escort of the State Troopers to Gardendale Alabama, MT. Olive Boulevard, for a full military service, only Family ,Law Enforcement, military, and the bikes in the procession will be attending.
This will be along day as we will be doubling this mission, I suggest a full tank of gas, and eat prior to staging, or eat at the Sonic next door. We will not be stopping once we begin to roll on the interstate.
The weather will be 90 degrees with a slight chance of rain.
Please bring flags with you.
There is also another mission in Prattville at the same time for a 2 term Vietnam Vet, so the Blue Knights need to come out in force, as many of the ICV may be attending this one also.
Any questions dont hesitate to call me at 799 1109.

On 09/28/06 Montgomery Police Officer Keith Houts was shot during a routine traffic stop. He was transported to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the head, which severed his spinal chord. Officer Houts was also shot 3 more times while he was laying on the ground, but the bullet proof vest did not allow penetration. Officer Houts was also a member of a Reserve Unit out of South Carolina, and served a tour in Kuwait, where he met his wife Ashley who also served. Officer Houts is 30 years old and has been with the MPD for 2 years. On 09/30/06 at 2158 hours Officer Houts lost his battle, earlier in the day he has suffered a massive stroke and had caught Pneumonia. This is a very tragic event and has shocked the entire community of Montgomery. At this time we do not have any Funeral arrangements, when the arrangements are finalized they will be posted.
