ABOUT THE MISSION:
The Patriot Guard Riders have been asked to escort the truck bringing the “The Eyes of Freedom” display as it travels from Newnan to Manchester, Georgia for the upcoming Veterans Day ceremonies.
This display is life-sized portraits of the fallen men of Lima company, 3/25 United States Marine Corps Reserve. In 2005, this unit was hard hit in Western Iraq during Iraqi Freedom.
R & L Carriers has furnished the truck and trailer and will meet us at the Pilot Truck Stop in Newnan, Georgia. At 10:00 AM, we will escort the truck with LEO support from Newnan to the Manchester High School, 405 N. 5th Ave., Manchester, Georgia. Once we arrive, we have been asked to assist in carrying the six panels into the Gym for setup.
