ABOUT THE MISSION:

I just wanted to give you a heads up on the arrival of the repatriated remains of WWII, USS Oklahoma, fallen US Navy S2c Everett Gordon Windle.  He will be departing LAX, this Friday, May 22nd at approx. 9:35 AM on American Airlines flight #283.  Arriving in Honolulu at approx. 12:20 PM.  I understand there will be no family or military escort onboard.  Both parents and all siblings have already passed.  I have been in contact with Darrell Salvador of Oahu Cemetery and Crematorium, he is our POC.  He states no family could fly over and no other arrangements have been made for his service.  Mr. Salvador will be inside the cargo area with a hearse to receive the remains.

Special Instructions:

Staging: 12:15 PM
KSU: 12:30 PM, Riders will stage in the cargo (American/Delta) parking lot.  Do not enter the restricted area, only the hearse will be allowed in that area.  When the hearse passes through the gate the Riders will follow with the escort to Oahu Cemetery and Crematorium.  Chaplain of SBU will render a prayer at this time.
**There are no other services or family expected at Punch Bowl , please try to attend to honor this Hero **
Note : All traffic laws shall be adhered to during the escort, no running lights or unnecessary passing and please practice safety precautions as put out by the State regarding distance and PPE, any questions or for more information, contact Marc LoGalbo.

KSU: 12:30 PM, Riders will meet with Mr. Salvador and proceed with escort from this location to Punch Bowl Cemetery.  Riders will obey all local traffic laws and follow distancing and proper PPE protocols.
