It is with the utmost respect that I offer my condolences to the family of a true American Hero. Everett, may you forever rest in the knowledge that your duty was well done and you have the gratitude of an entire nation for your sacrifice and your service. I know that you will now be in the company of your fellow veterans who have gone before you and who will welcome you at Heaven’s Gate upon your arrival. Stand down now and know that we will carry on your legacy of freedom for all our citizens. To your family and friends, I ask that God comfort them now in their time of despair and remain with them as they adjust to their loss.
Sgt Everett Stewart Mission Report:
Today 10 PGR stood a silent flag line at GNC in honor of Sgt Stewart. This was a well loved and respected man from his records and those who spoke of him at the service. His Marine friends from the Griffon, GA Marine Corps League detachment fired the rifle volley, played taps, and also presented a certificate, 3 spent shells, and a wooden flag case. The Marine Corps Honors team folded and presented the flag. I presented the condolence card and an angel coin. The bagpiper played several pieces including the Marine Hymn.
Thank y’all for coming out to honor a fine Marine and human being. The family was very appreciative.
