ABOUT THE MISSION:
We have been invited to take part in a parade honoring WWII Greatest Generation ARM1c (Seaman 1st Class Aviation Radioman) Eugene Munson Jr. during his 95th Birthday Parade. ARM1C Munson Jr. joined the US Navy 2 days after his 18th birthday on 31 July 1943 and chose the (then Navy) Air Corp. He served with SB2C Helldiver Squadron. In 1946 his squadron was decommissioned at which time he joined the US Navy Reserves and continued serving his country patrolling the Eastern coast of the US as a radioman.
