DESCRIPTION:Eugene Matthews LaChance\, 85\nUS Army Korea Veteran\nGrand Ronde\, OR\n11/JUN/16\n\n\n\nLadies and Gentlemen of the Patriot Guard Riders\, we have been requested to stand for Eugene Matthews LaChance\, age 85. \nEugene enlisted Nov 1949 and was honorably discharged Nov.1952 at the rank of Sergeant. He was an Infantryman in the 31st Infantry Division. Eugene trained troops at Ft. Pendleton in California upon returning from Korea until his discharge in 1952. He was awarded the Occupation Medal\, Combat Infantry Badge\, Korean Service Medal\, Bronze Service Star\, and Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation. \nEugene was a tribal elder in the Grand Ronde Tribe.
