ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of USA, 1st Lt. Eugene “Gene” M. Laytham has requested the Patriot Guard Riders for an escort from the Walnut Lawn Funeral Home to our hero’s final resting place at the Missouri Veterans cemetery. We will stand a flag line and serve as pall bearers where full military honors will be rendered. Mr. Laytham proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, attaining the rank of 1st Lieutenant and was an Executive Officer and General Service Engineer Unit Commander. He was awarded the Korean Service Medal with one Bronze Star, the United Nations Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. PLEASE NOTE: THE FAMILY HAS REQUESTED THE PGR TO PROVIDE SIX PALL BEARERS
