ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of E-5, Estill “Monk” Cates Jr., 86, US Navy (1956-976), Korean and Vietnam Wars, of Bridgeport, AL has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to Honor their loved one with a Silent flagline at his final place of rest. It WILL be Our Honor to do so.Mr. Cates, February 10,1933 till September 17, 2019, served his country with dignity and honor for 20 years and loved to be at sea. He earned the Vietnam Service Medal, Navy Unit Commendation, 2 awards, National Defense Medal, United Nations Award, Korean Service Award and the China Service Award. He served abroad the U.S.S. Cerasage, The U.S.S. Brister, the U.S.S. Thomas J. Gary, the U.S.S. Enterprise, and the U.S.S. Duluth. He was an E-5 Culinary Specialist 2 when he retired.Mr. Cates stood for us and now it is Our time to stand for him.
