ABOUT THE MISSION:
Ernest “Pat” Patrick Zimmerman, 93, of Neenah, WI, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 18, 2018. Pat was born on a farm near California, Missouri, on July 2, 1925. Enlisting in the Navy during WWII, Pat was proud of his military service. He volunteered to serve as a corpsman and was attached to the 4th Marine Division. He served his country bravely during the Battle of Iwo Jima where he was awarded a Purple Heart.

I extend my most heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Ernest Patrick “Pat” Zimmerman, US Navy WWII Veteran. During this most difficult time, I pray you peace. I will forever be grateful for his service, sacrifice, and dedication to our country. Rest easy now, Sir…those you have left behind to carry on without you have the watch.

It is with great sadness that I learned of the loss of this hero. We mourn
with their family and friends. Though we mourn, we stand tall to honor them.
This hero’s service and sacrifice will not be forgotten. We ask that this hero
rest in eternal peace.
