Ernest Dwight Oliver, Veteran

ABOUT THE MISSION:

It’s my sad duty to report that America has lost another hero, Ernest Dwight Oliver, who passed from this earth at the age of 67. The Patriot Guard has been invited to stand for PFC Oliver. The Patriot Guard will escort United States Army PFC Oliver from Trahan Family Funeral Home to the hallowed grounds of Barrancas National Cemetery where Military Honors will be rendered at 1200 pm. PFC Oliver honorably and faithfully served his country from 10 July 1969 until 31 Mar 1972 and was a Vietnam war veteran. His awards include Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and various other awards and decorations.

Special Instructions:

Naval Air Station required long sleeve shirts, long trousers, long-fingered gloves, DOT approved helmets, leather foot wear covering the ankles and appropriate eye protection. This attire will be maintained always while riding aboard the Air Station.
1030 am – Briefing for all riders
1045 am – KSU to Trahan Family Funeral Home
TBD – Roll Time to Barrancus National Cemetery
1200 am – Honors at Barrancus National Cemetery
