ABOUT THE MISSION:
It is with deep regret to announce that we have lost another veteran, Eric T. Fillingim. The Patriot Guard has been invited by the family to stand a silent flag line in his honor at Lathram Chapel, United Methodist Church & Cemetery. Sgt Fillingim honorably served in the United States Army for 1 year and 11 months and departed this earth at age 71. He received the following awards: National Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge w/Rifle Bar (M-16), Sharpshooter Qualification Badge w/Machine Gun (M-60), Vietnam Gallantry Cross w Palm, Vietnam Civil Actions Honor Medal First Class, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Vietnam Service Medal. Service will be held at Lathram Chapel, United Methodist Church & Cemetery at 2690 Jacks Branch Road, Cantonment, with honors following at the cemetery on the same grounds as the church.
