Fillingim. The Patriot Guard has been invited by the family to stand a silent flag line in his honor at Lathram Chapel\, United Methodist Church & Cemetery. Sgt Fillingim honorably served in the United States Army for 1 year and 11 months and departed this earth at age 71. He received the following awards: National Defense Service Medal\, Army Commendation Medal\, Combat Infantryman Badge w/Rifle Bar (M-16)\, Sharpshooter Qualification Badge w/Machine Gun (M-60)\, Vietnam Gallantry Cross w Palm\, Vietnam Civil Actions Honor Medal First Class\, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Vietnam Service Medal.
