ABOUT THE MISSION:
The Family of LCpl Eric Eugene Campbell,71, has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to stand In honor of his service to our country. Eric “Rick” Eugene Campbell of Elba Township (formally of Pontiac) died Friday April 2, 2021 at his residence. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place with burial at Greenwood Cemetery at a later date. Eric was born in Pontiac, Michigan on November 7, 1948, and resided in the Lapeer and Pontiac area most of his life. He answered the call of his country and served in United States Marine Corps. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He was joined in marriage to Carolyn Fay (Morgan) Campbell in 1969 and she preceded in death May 4, 2019. Eric was employed by General Motors until his retirement. He enjoyed planting trees with his family and grandchildren. Eric is preceded in death by parents, wife and daughter; leaves behind 2 sons and one daughter, 9 grandchildren, 4 great grand children, 3 sisters and his loving 3 dogs Bear, Spirit and Boa.
