Elmer J. Dapron Jr., Veteran

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Patriot Guard has been honored by the family of Elmer Dapron, 94, by requesting we stand a flag line and escort their loved one to the hallowed grounds of Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Mr. Dapron served our great nation both in WWII and Korea as a U.S.Marine seeing combat on Iwo Jima and in Korea, the Inchon Landing and Chosin Reservoir. In 1954 Mr Dapron took a contract with a British agency and as a result the Queen of England sent Lord Kitchner to St. Louis to Knight Sir Elmer Dapron. Mr.Dapron was a life member of the Marine Corps League and there will be a formal ceremony at visitation. Mr Dapron attended many PGR Marine funerals including Elrod and Pete where he would shake hands with the flag line. His accomplishments are too numerous to mention here and he will be missed by his beloved Marine family.
