SFC Elmer “Bud” F. Howland Jr, died February 1st, 2021 in Burlington, NC. Bud enlisted in the US Navy in 1960 and rose through the ranks, served three tours in Vietnam and retired 1974 as a ADJ1 (Aviation Engine Mechanic Jet) Petty Officer 1st Class. He returned to active duty and served in the USA as a SFC and saw action in Desert Storm. He proudly served our nation for many years with long and distinguished careers. He was a member of the DAV, the VFW, the AL the American Legion Riders and the Wounded Warrior Project. He is survived by a loving family and missed by all who knew him. SFC Howland is to be interred on the hallowed grounds of Arlington National Cemetery. PGR has been invited to attend the services and we will be there to stand tall, silent and proud in honor of this US Navy/ Army and Vietnam veteran, his family friends and comrades at arms.

Honors: 1:00 PM, graveside ANC (Time Approx.)
In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, we will maintain 6’ distance requirements and situational awareness. Remember bring your mask or other facial covering. Large 3×5 flags are not permitted in ANC, and 100% ID Check in effect! Dress & hydrate accordingly – Check the weather here: Weather
Concealed/carry permits are NOT recognized on military installations and federal reservations. Therefore do not bring weapons or hazardous materials to this mission.
Flags & Water:

Large Bike Flags will NOT be needed.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.
