Honor Mission
Ellis E. Mercier, Veteran
USA – Korea
Oconto, Wisconsin – 06-27-19

ABOUT THE MISSION:

Ellis E. Mercier, 87, Oconto, passed away Friday, June 21, 2019 at home surrounded by his family. Ellis was born July 9, 1931 in Green Bay to the late Edward and Mildred Mercier.  He married Audrey Wessley on January 27, 1951 and she preceded him in death in 2001.  Ellis served his country during the Korean War in the US Army.  He was assigned to the 707th Ordnance Maintenance Company about 20 miles from the DMZ.
In 2016 Ellis went on the Honor Flight.  He was a member of Oconto American Legion.  They say the mark of a great man is seen in his children and, by looking at our brother Mike Mercier, Ellis can be proud of his parenting and values he instilled in his family.
