Elliot Deen Larsen, KIA

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand a flag line for Elliot Deen Larsen.

Elliot Deen Larsen served in the U.S. Navy just prior to WWII. Elliot Deen Larsen was killed in the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Deen’s remains were recently identified through DNA testing using samples from his surviving sister and his niece.

This will be a two part mission.

Part One:

The dignified transfer will take place at the SLC International Airport at 6:45 AM on Thursday, May 25, 2017. We will escort Elliot Deen Larsen from the SLC International Airport to Richfield, UT.

Part Two:

This will be a graveside service only. The service will be at the Monroe City Cemetery on 650 N Washburnville Rd in Monroe at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 26, 2017. We will stand a flag corridor at the cemetery for Elliot Deen Larsen to be brought through. We will then adjust and stand a flag line until the service is over.
