Honor Mission
Elli Hefele , PGR

Acworth, Georgia – 12-02-19

ABOUT THE MISSION:

Ms. Elli wanted to know where I was going dressed up for when I rode out on my bike with flags. I took her along and she felt compelled to stand for our Heroes and Honor them as we all do. At 91 she stood her first flag line alongside our members; received her first mission pin. At funeral homes, escorts (rode in my Sidecar rig) and at National or private cemeteries. She has escorted the Wreath trucks to GNC several times in fog and rain and cold temps.
She attended  missions , and stood flag lines for almost 4 years. Most PGR members affectionately remember her as “Mom”.
At 95 she was looking forward to standing along side our members again. I was in the process of moving her from NJ to GA to be with us as it had become difficult for her to be by herself when she passed suddenly and peacefully in our home.
No flag line, please come anytime between 5:00 pm and  7:30 pm  for a viewing and celebration of her life.
