Bud spent two years in the Navy on active duty\, and served on the destroyer USS Rupertus\, which won 7 Korean War Battle Stars. He then spent 28 years in the US Navy Reserve\, retiring as a full Commander. Bud recently passed away at the age of 87. Surviving Bud are his wife and two sons.
