ABOUT THE MISSION:

Edward Mitchell was a United States Air Force veteran. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force from 1961 to 1984. He started his career as a Law Enforcement Specialist and Military Working Dog Handler and later as Law Enforcement Supervisor. He later cross trained as a Defensive Aerial Gunner Aircrew Member/Instructor primarily on the B52 G and H model aircraft. He served in Korea, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. While in the service of his country Edward Mitchell earned the Air Force Commendation Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Combat Readiness Medal, Air Force Good Conduct with 6 Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon with 4 Oak Leaf Clusters,Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, Philippine Presidential Unit Citation, Senior Police Qualification Badge, Master Aircrew Member Badge.
