Hero Martin was trained in the Navy as a Yeoman\, personnel clerk. He attended the MPO School in Pearl Harbor\, Hawaii. He earned the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Medal. Hero Martin was born 2 February 13 1941 in East Tawas\, Michigan. After his military service he worked as a director of purchasing for several medical centers across the country. Upon retirement he and his wife moved to Ava\, Missouri.
